Château Bellegrave Pauillac 2018

From the gravelly soils of Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Bellegrave 2018 is a classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with the structure and elegance that define the appellation. Owned by Ludovic and Julien Meffre, the estate covers just under nine hectares and focuses on producing traditional, terroir-driven Pauillac. The exceptional 2018 growing season, with warm sunny days and cool nights, allowed the grapes to reach impressive ripeness while maintaining freshness. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, and dark cherry are layered with cedar, tobacco, graphite, dried herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, firm yet polished tannins, lively acidity, and a long, savory finish. Aged in French oak for 12 months, it offers both richness and classic Bordeaux character. Pair it with grilled steak, roast lamb, short ribs, duck, wild mushrooms, or aged cheeses. A beautifully structured Pauillac that is showing the depth and complexity of a mature Bordeaux.
